Unicodeloaderpl first copies C:\winnt\system32\cmdexe to a file named sensepostexe in the directory specified as the Webroot parameter (in our example, C:\inetpub\scripts) Again, this is done to bypass the inability of cmdexe to take redirect ( > ) via this exploit Sensepostexe is then used to echo/redirect the files uploadasp and uploadinc line-by-line into the Webroot directory (again, C:\inetpub\scripts in our example) Once uploadasp and its associated include file are on the victim server, simply surf to that page using a Web browser to upload more files using a convenient form, as shown in Figure 10-2 To gain greater control over the victim server, attackers will probably upload two other files of note, using the uploadasp script The first will probably be netcat (ncexe) Shortly after that will follow cmdaspasp, written by a hacker named Maceo This is a form-based script that executes commands using the Unicode exploit, again from within the attacker s Web browser Browsing to cmdaspasp presents an easy-to-use graphical interface for executing Unicode commands, as shown in Figure 10-3 At this point, it s worthwhile reemphasizing the ease of using either uploadasp or cmdaspasp by simply browsing to them In our example that used C:\inetpub\scripts as the target directory, the URLs would simply be as follows:

You have two ways to access your Office Live e-mail: as an administrator who needs to set up and manage e-mail accounts, and as an individual user who needs to send and receive your e-mail messages First, you need to adopt the Administrator hat and set up individual e-mail accounts and preferences for you and any coworkers who need to access e-mail through Office Live You do that by first signing in to what you might think of as your Administrative e-mail address: the address you used to create your Office Live account and to sign in to the service yourself (This is the e-mail address Microsoft uses when the company wants to communicate with you about your account, by the way) The Administrator account used to set up Office Live is the only one that can be used to create, delete, or otherwise manage e-mail accounts Even if you give someone in your small business Administrator privileges, that person cannot manage e-mail If you need a backup administrator, you can give that person access with your user name and password Be aware, though, you run a security risk for your whole office the moment you begin to share this critical account information Begin by deciding how you want to handle e-mail passwords for your office To access their Office Live e-mail, each employee must enter a distinct user name and password You have two options: you can either create passwords for everyone and hand them out yourself, or confer with the individual users and have them create their own passwords Personally, I suggest you give employees a generic password to use because they ll be prompted to change their passwords as soon as they attempt to sign in to their accounts the first time You might have to explain to the employees how to enter the password themselves when they create their accounts, as described in the following steps Once you determine how to handle passwords, you begin by signing in to Office Live You automatically go to the Member Center Then follow these steps to configure e-mail:.
